According to sources in Kinshasa the 42 year old former football player died on Thursday 25 June 2020, after being admitted at St Joseph Hospital in Limete.
Emeka Mamale will be remembered for being part of the famous Congolese football team that won 3rd place in one of the hotly contested African Cup of Nations, in 1998.
He made is debut in 1996, joining local team Motema Pemba and later joined South African football club Kaizer Chiefs.
Before his death, the former striker was busy doing a football training course with the Congolese Football Federation
