TRESOR LUALUA APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF CLUB OWNED BY CONTROVERSIAL PASTOR
Former Captain of the Congolese national football team, Tresor Lualua, has been appointed the General Manager of FC Renaissance du Congo; a local football team owned by controversial pastor Pascal Mukuna.
The pastor, known for his fierce critism of former President Joseph Kabila, is currently being held in Kinshasa's Central Makala Prison on charges of rape.
In a statement issued on the 22 June 2020, by the Assistant Secretary of the club Andre Tutonda, the appointment was confirmed and a congratulatory message was sent to Lualua
The 39 year old Tresor Lualua is a well respected and recognised international football star , who played for major clubs such as Portsmouth and Newcastle United . He retired from football in 2013 and has since ventured into business. He also runs his own foundation , which assist orphans in his home town Kinshasa.
